Registered to BAC 9th May 1972 and leased to Faucett as OB-R1080 19th July 1974, returning as G-AZUK 1st March 1987. Operated for Mediterranean Express, Baltic Airlines, Loganair, Ryanair and finally British Air Ferries from Apr 1991. Went to Oriental Airlines as 5N-ECI 23rd Aug 1996

This 1-11 was originally delivered to Faucett Peru in July 1974 as OB-R-1080. From 1987 it became G-AZUK and flew with Mediterranean Express, Balic, Ryanair and BAF/British World before joining Oriental Airlines in June 1996 as 5N-ECI. The plane was strored and then scrapped (correct?) at Imo (Owerri) (QOW), Nigeria aometime after Januray 2004.

Loganair leased this hush-kitted 1-11 for 4 months during the summer of 1989.

Baltic Airlines was a short-lived airline in the late 1980s, which I believe was merged into British Air Ferries. This 1-11 was reportedly leased (from Ryanair?) for April and May 1989 only. By August 1989, it was on lease to Loganair.

Looking in need of some TLC Ex Faucett (Peru). By the following year it was flying in the UK as G-AZUK with Mediterranean Express. Later also with Ryanair and then British Air Ferries. There were some very short leases to other operators such as Baltic Aviation and Loganair. Final operator was Oriental Airlines (Nigeria) as 5N-ECI. Retired circa 1988.

First public demonstration of the new 475 Srs which combined a Srs 400 fuselage with Srs 500 wing and powerplant plus rough-airfield landing gear with body protection. Ended up stored in Nigeria after being acquired by Oriental as an executive transport registered 5N-ECI

This was the BAC 1-11 Srs 475 demonstrator G-AZUK, later used by Faucett, Mediterranean Express, Ryanair, Baltic and BAF. Seen after preparation as a corporate jet, she was noted in 2004 stored at Owerri, capital of Imo state in Nigeria
