Behind the scenes building an airline. Gulf Air's C-GLCP is rolled into the shop for refurbishment and new paint. Entrepreneur Jim Pattison was merging ten float operators to form Air BC at the time, but would start to exit small float operations several years later to expand IFR regional flights with larger aircraft. Air BC sold C-GLCP in 1984 and the aircraft remained in British Columbia on floats. It's current with Harbour Air at the time of uploading, having been converted to a VazarTurbine Otter in 2005.

About to go transatlantic to St John, NB (together with N17683). Entered military service in 1961 as G305 of the Ghana Air Force at Takoradi, retiring in 1973. When phogtographed, the Otter was owned by Air Craftsmen Ltd of St John, NB who specialised in buying and refurbishing ex-mil Otters, and then selling them on to commercial operators. N17682 then became C-GCLP, operating on Canada's Pacific Coast. After Vazar turbine conversion, it re-entered Harbour Air's service in 2006. Photographed it again in 2010 at Vancouver, in red maple leaf colours for Canada's Winter Olympics.

Pictured in a more original configuration with Air BC, this Otter would be converted to a Vazar turbine DHC-3T and have a scenic windows added over the winter of 2005 / 06 by Harbour Air.

This Otter wore a celebratory banner proclaiming BC 150 Years for a while. The only one in the fleet to have it.

Delivered to the Ghana Air Force in July 1961, this Otter has been flying back in Canada since 1971 (and along the British Columbia coast since 1974). Harbour Air bought it, still piston powered, in 2003. Updated with a Vazar turbine conversion in 2005, the aircraft is current with Harbour Air at the time of uploading.

Last flight of the day for HA 311. The Ghana Air Force was the first operator of this Otter.
