Even with an all-white livery, there may be subtle differences. Previously, V5-NCC flew with UN titles and the Namibian flag on the tail. These had been removed before this shot was taken at Lanseria in South Africa. Originally delivered as C-118A 53-3293 in October 1955, she remained with the USAF until May 1976 when sold to Atlas as N43866. To Rich International November 1976 and converted to DC-6A. To F.A. Exported to Namibia as V5-NCC September 1991. Scrapped 1996 as 9Q-CZU. Parked on the small ramp adjacent to Willow Run's taxiway "B" in front of the GM factory.

Looking as if it might be ready to be scrapped. On the contrary, it continued to operate for at least another 15 years! Stayed with Rich until Jan 86 when it joined F A Conner Aviation. In Sep 91 it went to Namibia Commercial Aviation as V5-NCC. Leased to Transair Cargo Jan 94 to Jan 95 as 9Q-CJP and then returning to NCA. To Filair as 9Q-CZU Dec 96. Noted as being broken up at Kinshasa in Jan 98.
