The helicopter had three Bulgarian crew, six Americans from Blackwater defence contractor and two guards from an unspecified country, either Fiji or Philippines. One person survived the crash and was killed on the ground. The Islamic Army in Iraq claimed responsibility.

Leased from Sochispetsavia to operate flights between Malta and Gozo. Exhibited at the Naxxar Trade Fair grounds to promote the Malta-Gozo service and local pleasure flights.
