The South African Department of Transport bought two Puma Js in support of the South African National Antarctic Expedition in 1980. They were operated by the SAAF's 30 Squadron at AFB Ysterplaat until that squadron was disbanded in 1991 when they were transferred to 22 Sqd and later sold on the civilian market. Built as a series 3B/RA. Registered as G-AXEG in 1969. Delivered to the South African Department of Transport as ZS-CAL in 1971. Back to G-AXEG for conversion to an F3B/RA in 1985 and returned as ZS-CAL in 1986. To King Air Services in 2001. Withdrawn from use at Lanseria in 2010.

Ex 42-93610, KG674 and SAAF 6838. Delivered to the South African Department of Transport on 21st August 1958 and flew with them for for over 43 years before being sold to DRC based Business Aviation in 2002. Purchased by Skyclass Aviation in July 2007 and used to fly freight between her Johannesburg base and Gaborone in Botswana. Bought by Lush Aviation in 2011 and Springbok Classic Air in 2015, she eventually made her way back to the US in 2018 as N353MM with a New Jersey based owner.
