Crashed in 1977 after losing an engine during take off. Apparently the aircraft was left in place after removing some usable parts.

First registered in Colombia as HK1856 in 1976 with Villavicencio based Lineas Aereas La Urraca. Bought by Aeronorte in 1980 and impounded by the authorities in 1986. Reactivated by Aeronorte in 1991 and later flew for a short while with Lineas Aereas Suramericanas titles before being sold to Transoceanica de Aviacion in December 1993. Written off in a landing accident at Puerto Inirida in January 1994.

Delivered to the US Navy as R6D-1 Bu131569 in 1952. To the USAF as C-118A 51-17628 in 1958. Back to the US Navy as C-118B Bu131569 in 1964. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 8C040 in 1985. Sold as N2079G then HK-3530X in 1989. Withdrawn from use at Barranquilla in 1996. Later preserved at Port Colombia,

Delivered to the US Navy as R6D-1 Bu131611 in 1953. Redesignated as a C-118B in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1977. Sold and moved to the Allied Aircraft Sales yard in 1988. Registered as N821CS in 1989 then HK-3644X in 1991 and N680AF in 2004. Stored at Bucaramanga, Colombia by 2007. Moved to near Curití, Santander, Colombia by 2015 and preserved as the Aero Hotel.

Ex N65307, registered July 1976 and when this picture was taken it was in the process of being transferred to Lineas Aereas Suramericanas, hence the Aeronorte titles painted over. It later transferred to Transoceanica and crashed on landing in Puerto Inirida on the 30th Jan 1994

AeroNorte changed to Lineas Aereas Suramericanas in 1986 but the name was revived in 1991, when this C-118 was acquired. Originally Bu No. 131611 delivered to the USN in 1953 and to MASDC at Davis Monthan in 6.77. Stored at Bucaramanga in Colombia from 12.99, became N680AF in 2004 but still there
