Argos Marine built this Glasair Sportsman GS-2 to pair up with their Gulfstream range of Superyachts. With the wings folded it sat neatly on the multi purpose rear deck and was marketed at the time for a cool $6 Million all in. N869PC is still registered at time of upload to a California based owner.

This photo is said to show a hijacked DC-3 at Key West in October 1960, but obviously this is a C-46. Many hijackings occurred and although Cubana absorbed Aerovias Q during 1959, a 1960 date might be possible. Ex 42-107292, this airframe was not acquired by Aerovias Q until February 1959. Despite the word 'Bienvenidos' on the terminal, this does seem to be Key West. Photo from: Florida Keys Public Libraries

Not to be confused with Aerovias Quisqueyana, Aerovias Q was a Cuban airline with the Q presumably standing for founder Manuel Quevedo Jaureguízar's middle name. It ran a Havana - Key West scheduled service from July 1947. Ex 42-93736, CU-T-1000 served with another Cuban airline, Expreso Aereo Inter-Americano, before joining Aerovias Q. To Haitian air force as 3681 in 1954. Operated by CoHata. Reported stored at Port-au-Prince. Photo from: Florida Keys Public Libraries
