Anthony Mangos built this 7/8 scale SE-5A in 1972. The FAA registration expired in 2010. On loan to the Glenn Curtiss Museum.

In 1961 Mr. Floyd Hungerford of Elmira, NY donated a JN-4D fuselage (unknown MSN), engine(s) and other JN-4 pieces to the Curtiss Museum. Over time, museum volunteers were able to restore the a/c and it is now on display in WW 1 era US Army Air Service markings.

Delivered new to the United States Army Air Service (USAAS) in 1918, serialed as 41236 (in their pre-1922 sequential serial series). To the Hall Flying School of Warren, Ohio in 1929 and registered NC823H. Registration canceled in Aug 1935 and donated to the Henry Ford Museum located in Dearborn, MI. On loan to the Glenn Curtiss Museum.

Built in 1919 and registered as NC853. When the museum received the aircraft, the only existing piece was the fuselage. Volunteers were able to restore it and build new wings, etc. to produce this beautiful display. The Curtiss Museum also has an extensive collection of motorcycles and automobiles just a few of which are visible in the photo.

Originally built for US Navy as MF Boat A4411, converted to civil model 18 Seagull. Purchased in 1919 by Henry Ford for Ms. Evangeline Dahlinger, and eventually registered NC257. On loan to the Curtiss Museum from the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.

This replica A-1 was built in 2004 by the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. It was flown from Lake Keuka in 2004, 2005, and 2006. The original Curtiss A-1 Triad was the first a/c purchased by the US Navy.

This replica was built in 1998 by the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. It was flown in 1999 and again in 2013 from Lake Keuka, which abuts Hammondsport. The original Curtiss Model E Flying Boat was the first practical flying boat and was built for civilian use as well as for the US Navy.

This is a replica of the Curtiss June Bug built by the Mercury Aircraft Co. of Hammondsport, NY in 1976. It flew multiple times, and still has a current FAA registration. On loan to the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum. The original June Bug flew in 1908, and was the first a/c with ailerons and tricycle landing gear. The first aeronautical prize, the Scientific American Cup, was won by the June Bug on 4 July 1908. The cup (and $25,000!) was awarded for accomplishing the first public flight over 1 kilometre (.61 mi.)

The Mercury Chic T-2 was a lightweight aircraft designed and built by Mercury Aircraft Co. of Hammondsport, NY. First flight was in 1928, and about 27 were built. Due to the economic depression in the 1930s only 15 were sold and the rest were scrapped. On loan to the museum from Mercury Aircraft Co. FAA registration long expired.

Built in 1928 before Curtiss-Wright bought out Travel Air. On loan to the museum and has a current registration with the FAA.

The Mercury S-1 was designed by Harvey Mummert, Chief Engineer of Mercury Aircraft Corp. located in Hammondsport, NY, in 1931. It was raced in the 1932 Chicago Air Races, placing third in the Free-For-All Edelweiss Trophy Race with a speed of 139.8 mph. Mr. Lawrence Wood restored it in 1980, flown once, and put on long term loan to the museum by the Wood Family. FAA registration expired in 2013.

After World War II, the US Air Force stored this C-46 in 1946. Sold to Flying Tiger Line in 1950, the Commando flew passengers and freight for the next 38 years. In 1988, however, the aircraft was seized by US Marshalls for allegedly running guns. It was later turned over to the Smithsonian Institution and placed on permanent loan to the National Warplane Museum. On loan to the Glen H Curtiss Museum since around 2001, it's located at the entrance to the museum in Hammondsport, NY.
