F-AJAI flew in the Middle East with Air France and the Société des Transports du Proche-Orient (STPO). In 1937 it was bought by Capt Georges Goumin, who served at Rayak in Lebanon. Goumin was recalled to France in 1938 and led a group of pilots escaping to England in 1940. Wearing the cream and orange colours of STPO with the logo of the Aéro-Club Maurice Noguès in Damascus, F-AJAI is seen during a trip to Luxor. The pilot here may still be Goumin, even if the given 1939 date is correct, according to researcher Michel Barrière. Registration allegedly stricken in April 1939. In 1942 the aircraft served with the Free French forces as FL-AUM. Photo from: Gérald Garitan

CV was for Romania. Also painted on the rear fuselage is number 51 - likely the CoR number. According to French publicist Michel Barrière, this aircraft used to be F-AJHZ of Air Service which took Prince Carol back to Romania in June 1930 to ascend the throne in a coup d'état, unknown to its French pilot. Certainly CV-RAC was put on display in 1932 as 'the aircraft that brought King Carol back'. Other sources give c/n 7122/12, ex F-AIZR. Photo from: Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe

The Farman F.190 was a small airliner first flown in 1928. As you can see, the F.192 version was powered by a Salmson engine. This machine is painted as F-AJJB which was flown to Réunion in 1929 by Goulette, Marchesseau and Bourgeois. True identities F-AJLU, F-AQCP, and F-BAOP.
