This 727, delivered to Hughes Airwest November 1, 1976, was involved in several post deregulation mergers. Republic Airlines first bought Hughes Airwest October 1, 1980 and were themselves bought and merged into Northwest Airlines in 1986. The aircraft was stored in Roswell, NM in October 2001 and subsequently sold to Aero Controls, Inc in 2004 for parting out.
