Turned out that I was delighted to get this photo as just a couple of hours later I was flying in it on my way to LAX enjoying a champagne breakfast in First Class! The aircraft (originally with Hughes Airwest) was transferred to Northwest Airlines in Oct 86 and was retired in Apr 2004.

This 727, delivered to Hughes Airwest November 1, 1976, was involved in several post deregulation mergers. Republic Airlines first bought Hughes Airwest October 1, 1980 and were themselves bought and merged into Northwest Airlines in 1986. The aircraft was stored in Roswell, NM in October 2001 and subsequently sold to Aero Controls, Inc in 2004 for parting out.
