In the late 60s and early 70s, Canada's major regional airlines acquired jets. The 737 was the main choice (Quebecair started with BAC-111s before getting 737s). All would push their regional boundaries and be seen in Toronto in the following years. Pictured is an Eastern Provincial Airways 737 in the first color scheme.

The second of five 707s built for Western Airlines but bought by the Canadian Air force when the sale fell through. Pushing back here during simpler times - no fences, not even a blast fence to be seen.

Withdrawn from use 2001.

VH-FWQ was registered in December 1968.

Previously operated by Pacific Western Airlines and next delivered to Conair, who converted it to a tanker.

Air Canada all the way for this DC-9. Delivered December 7, 1968 and withdrawn May 1998, it was scrapped at Greenwood MS August 1998.

Ordered as 42-93534 and delivered in Montreal to the RAF June 13, 1944 (KG644), this Dakota flew as G-AJPF after April 1947. Back to Montreal February 1951, it became CF-CUC for Imperial Oil. Photographed after retirement, the aircraft would next fly with Minesearch Surveys and Hudson Bay Air Transport before going to the USA as N47CE July 1985. It would unfortunately crash in a stall/spin accident during training May 22, 1989.
