VT-EGB was scrapped at Mumbai in 2006.

We were lucky enough to get three of the Mauritanian Fairchilds through Southend for maintenance. This aircraft, of 1959 vintage, initially served the colourful Bonanza Air Lines (which had a fleet of 11 of the type) as N148L then N748L, being sold on in 7.74 by Hughes Airwest via IAL to Mauritania. She returned to the US in 12.83 and two years later found her way to Aerocozumel in Mexico, taking up the reg XA-NAP formerly used on a Comet 4. Wfu at Cozumel early '90s

Well travelled Aer Lingus 737 on short term lease. This aircraft had been in Canada before with Transair as CF-TAR as well as C-GTAR.

There was less than three months between when VH-FLR entered the register and when it was destroyed by fire at Orroroo, South Australia on June 14, 1980.

Flying as a 340 with United Airlines christened "Newark" from 1952 to 1959, Gem State acquired this 580 from Frontier Airlines. They would quickly merge with Air Pacific (USA) to form Golden Gate Airlines and a year later merge with Swift Aire before closing the doors. This Convair went to Sierra Pacific, who occasionally leased it out, until the registration was cancelled in 1995.

VH-EBG is just starting to lift its nose departing runway 16. It joined the Qantas fleet March 1974. -EBG, by then named City of Fremantle, was sold back to Boeing in May 1988 and leased to El Al as 4X-AQX. Four months later it was back in Qantas service on lease as VH-EBG. It left again in May 1989, returning to El Al.

VH-BJQ returned to the US as N502G in 1982.

Originally AP-AJF with PIA, this Viscount had very recently been repainted from Intra to Jersey European's scheme when seen here and spent the summer of 1980 flying for Air UK, BMA and Dan-Air. To Baltic Aviation as SE-IVY in 11.86 and nowadays preserved in Sweden

Formerly D-ABOM and N785PA, this 720 was operated by Ariana for seven years, finally being scrapped at Miami in 1984 as HK-2558X of Aerotal

At her home base on the Kentish coast, this was one of a trio of the Friendship derivative briefly operated by Skyways before they went out of business later that year. New with the evocative Mohawk Airlines as N7817M in 4.67 and sold by Allegheny to Wien in 5.74. After gaining the cargo door she came to England in 8.78, passing on to TABA following Skyways' demise as PT-LBG. Very derelict at Belém by 2004
