Broken up at Kingman Az in 1983

1957 vintage Viscount (First flight was 26 February 1957 and delivered to BEA 11 March 1957 being named "RMA Charles Montagu Doughty"). It was lost during a training flight from Abbotsinch, Scotland on 19 January 1973 when it crashed into Ben More resulting in the loss of the four crew members: Captain Walter Durward, First Officer Stanley Kemp, Engineer Paddy Quinn and Engineer Jimmy Moore that sadly died in the crash.

Operated by Air Bridge Carriers in ex-BEA colours without titles. Delivered to BEA as G-APEG in 1961. Converted to a Merchantman freighter in 1971. Merged into British Airways in 1974. To Air Bridge Carriers in 1979. Withdrawn from use at East Midlands in 1983 and used as a fire trainer. Scrapped in 1997.

Ex NR808. Registered G-AGSH 25 July 1945. Based at St.Just to operate the service across to St.Mary's Airport on the Isles of Scilly, as was BEA Dragon Rapide G-AHKU, also present at St.Just on the day of this photograph.

F/F 3 May 1958. Delivered to BEA 16 May 1958 as 'RMA John Napier'. To Cambrian Airways 20 January 1971. To British Airways (BA) 31 July 1973 as part of corporate merger of Cambrian A/W into BA. To British Air Ferries (BAF) 7 April 1981. Leased to Air Algérie, Jersey Air Ferries & Virgin Atlantic on various dates in the period May 1981 to May 1989. Corporate name change of BAF to British World Airlines 1 April 1993 and reregistered G-PFBT 22 March 1994. Stored at Southend 2 March 1996 until sold to Heli-Jet Aviation 23 May 1997. To Lanseria June 1997 and stored there until scrapped April 2006.

Delivered in December 1960 and leased to Merpati Nusantara Airlines in 1972 as PK-MVJ. Presumably scrapped at Jakarta. Here it has just landed with the No.4 engine shut down.

This one carries no name because it was leased from Fred Olsen Air Transport (LN-FOM) from June 1960 until February 1961. Withdrawn and scrapped in 1971 with Indian Airlines as VT-DOD.

Delivered new in 1959 and scrapped at Gatwick (EGKK) in 2004 after service with Dan-Air London and use as a towing trainer. [Note the high-security fence! Also, on a personal note, the telescope laying beside the bag is a Denhill Pancratic X25-X40 which was a very popular model with spotters back then. You had to mail-order them from a classified advert in the newspaper. I still have mine 60 years later.]

Flew with BEA from 1949 to 1962. Crashed on 14 September 1965 at Gore (HAGR) while registered ET-ABI with Ethiopian Airlines.
