Delivered to Eastern Airlines as N457A in March 1952. N469M was re-registered to Mohawk Airlines when it acquired local routes and 15 Martin 404s from Eastern in 1962. In 1965 the Martins were traded to Ozark Airlines in a swap for Convair 240s to rationalize each other fleets. in 1968 Ozark sold their Martin fleet to Fairchild-Hiller for more FH-227s. Stored in Las Vegas, the aircraft is pictured in Louisville en-route to a new owner in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Several brokers and lessors later, it was last with Shawnee Airlines circa 1974 and broken up in 1976.

The Heath Center Wing, developed from earlier mid-wing racing aircraft, was popular with those able to fly one. The aircraft was also available in simplified kit form pioneered by Heath. Unfortunately 1933 was the depths of the US Depression and only about six aircraft were built (plus an unknown number of kits).

American Airlines added thirty BAC 111s for short to medium haul routes in 1966 (allowing them to retire the last of their DC-6s). N5034 was in the fleet July 1966 - July 1977 and would next be operated by TAG International (VR-BHS). The aircraft was acquired by De Howard Corp in February 1988 and registered N333GB. It would be the second (and last) Rolls-Royce Tay powered One Eleven conversion. It last flew in 1992 and was broken up at San Antonio, TX in 1998.
