This magnificent aircraft has been stored at DM since Sept. 02 with the PCN/Inventory No. AABT0009 after serving with the 37th BS/28th BW based at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota.

Pictured on her high speed pass for Airsho 2011. I think that I can handle the camera pretty well and I'd back myself to get good shots under just about any conditions.... but this Lancer had me whipped!!! She was going sooooo fast that within, what seemed like, a fraction of a second a small black dot on the horizon had swamped my viewfinder and I'd missed her side on. By the time I'd recovered she was past but, nevertheless, I'm still happy with this shot.

This single row of reclaimed B-1Bs represents almost 10% of the total production run. The foremost 'War Eagles' example served with the 77thBS/28th Bomber Wing based at Ellsworth AFB, SD, before being retired to AMARG during August 02.

Photographed with her nightcap on! This Lancer arrived at AMARG during Aug. 02 and is stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AABT0002. This a/c is named 'Uncaged' and has (had?) some nose art to that effect...but alas we can't see it.

It was such a thrill to walk amongst all these magnificent, iconic aeroplanes and the mightily impressive B-1 is right up at the top of the list. This Bone served previously with the 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess and is a Operation Desert Fox combat veteran but was retired to the museum during Sept. 2002.

This Lancer is named 'Uncaged' and sits in the big guy section of Celebrity Row! It served previously with the 9th BS "Bats"/ 7th BW at Dyess AFB, Texas before being retired to AMARG on 20 August 2002, where it is stored with the Inventory No. AABT0002.

The mighty 'Symphony of Destruction' taxies for a flying display at the Australian International Airshow. This combat veteran of the 37th Bomb Squadron, 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, displays its mission tally on the nose-gear doors.

The fourth and last B-1A built roars off after its Farnborough debut. It was actually taken out of mothballs for the purpose and was later retired to the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson where it is displayed in the original white livery

This third (of four) B-1A prototypes was actually the second to fly. It eventually went to the Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum near Denver, Colorado.
