Looking serene moored on the Red River, this Beech 18 was wrecked in 1995 when the LH float separated on take-off from a remote lake.

Game over for this old classic. Ex USAAF C-45B Expeditor 43-35481, and ex RCAF HB112. Acquired by Selkirk Air from Ontario Central Airlines in May 1983 and crashed on take-off from Bradburn Lake, MB on June 5, 1995.

This former USAAF C-45B (ex 43-35492) was lend-leased to the Royal Canadian Air Force in Dec 1943 as an Expeditor I, serialled HB122. On 3 Sep 1952 it was converted to an Expeditor 3T, and ten years later, on 19 Mar 1962, it was sold to the French Air Force, where it became N° 122, coded MT-10. There it last served with GAEL (Groupe Aérien d'Entraînement et de Liaison) and in this photo it still has their emblem on the nose. It was struck off charge on 18 May 1972 and stored at Châteaudun. In 1985 the Beech was acquired by AMPAA (Association des Mécaniciens Pilotes d'Aéronefs Anciens) and preserved at Étampes. In the mid 1990s it moved to the Musée de l'Aviation in Warluis, as seen here.

Still in its basic RCAF markings (ex HB108, still visible on the fins). Finally ended up at Pima Air and Space Museum wearing street it picked up in the Davis-Monthan boneyard

This rather unique Expeditor, painted as artwork 'Naughty Angels' by artist Faile, is on display at the Pima A&S Museum as part of the 'Boneyard Project: A Return Trip'. Ex RCAF HB108. It had "86" on the fins, but with the rudder fabric missing it only shows the 6 on the right fin and only the 8 on the left fin.

Originally 43-35671 for the RAF as Expediter II HB210 but diverted to the RCAF as Expeditor II before RAF service. Note the difference in spelling. Stored in 1964 after withdrawn by the RCAF, the Expeditor was sold as CF-TBH and has been with Kayair Service Jun 1, 1995.

All shiny after a wash and part of a fleet which at the time included three more Beech 18s, eight DC-3s and five DC-4s. C-117s were later obtained but operations ceased finally in 1990
