Greenwood is home to an interesting base collection of historic aircraft, one of these is Argus 10717 seen here.

Pictured in the delivery colors with Canadian Pacific titles, this Dash 8 was scrapped at Malta in March 2020.

Basking in the sun on Greenwood's tarmac, 133346 was one of several T-birds operated by 434 "Bluenose" squadron, named after the schooner Bluenose, shown large on the tail of this aircraft.

Pictured with Air Canada (December 1992 - August 2007), this aircraft became YL-LCD with LatCharter Airlines. The airline was re-named SmartLynx Airlines in 2008 on their 15th anniversary. The aircraft continued with SmartLynx and it's subsidiaries until stored at Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport in October 2016 and later scrapped.

Not yet a year old when pictured arriving at Halifax (first flight with Boeing on August 3, 1988, delivery to Air Canada on August 30th). The airliner was stored at Roswell, NM in October 2008 and sold to Jet Midwest Group in April 2012. It was parted out and the remains later scrapped.

Bristol Bolingbroke IV-T, 9997, was build by Fairchild Aircraft of Canada in Longueuil, Quebec in October 1942 and assigned to No. 5 Bombing & Gunnery School in Dafoe, MB. It was damaged in a belly landing on 28 Apr 1943 and sold to a farmer in Dauphin, MB after the war. It was donated by the Reynolds Heritage Preservation Foundation of Wetaskiwin, AB and restoration began in April 2009. The aircraft was reassembled in 2019 after 17,000 man hours of work without engines. Will be painted as Blenheim IV "EE-H" flying with Greenwood's 404 Sqn. with RAF Coastal Command in Scotland in 1941-1942.

The Canadair CL28 (CP107) was a Canadian adaptation of the Bristol Britannia with four Wright R-3350 engines for long range anti-submarine patrol missions. A total of 33 were built and they flew for two decades with 5 squadrons (Nos. 404, 405, 407, 415, 449) from bases in Greenwood, NS, Summerside, PEI and Comox, BC. Argus 20717 (later 10717, but now painted as 107717) was accepted in June 1958 and spent most of its career based at Greenwood until retired in March 1980. Five Argus are displayed at museums (Ottawa, Trenton, Summerside, Greenwood & Comox) and a sixth stored by WCAM at Gimli, MB.
