United Airlines took delivery of this 727 Sept 23, 1966 and returned to Boeing in 1980. Pictured with Ryan International Airlines operating for Emery Worldwide. Later upgraded with RR Tay engines while various airlines operated it for United Parcel Service. The Freighter was stored at Roswell, NM circa 2008 and broken up.

Every decade or so, it seems that Air Canada tries a different dedicated freighter aircraft. Before this 1967 ex-United Airlines 727 (and two sister ships), there were Bristol Freighters, Vanguards, DC-8s and DC-9s. The 727Fs were in the fleet from 1979 - 1981 and all three aircraft were sold to Interstaes Airlines.

This aircraft carries the United Airlines Friendshp livery which remained on very few aircraft by 1978. Strangely, there is a DC10 in the background also carrying those markings. This aircraft went to the Royal New Zealand Air Force as NZ7273 and was broken up in 1984

NZ7271 flew with the RNZAF from 1981 to 2003.

First N7410U with United from 9.66 and obtained by Wien two months before this shot, the aircraft went on to Reeve Aleutian as N832RV in 12.83. Sold to Air Gemini in 5.01 as S9-BAR and was flying in southern Africa for the UN in their marks; noted all white in early 2007
