This 1973 Shrike Commander is part of the extensive GAM fleet of Aero Commanders, though it isn't painted in their usual 'house colours'. It was being pushed back on to their apron, hence the bloke looking backward out the door! It was first registered in Australia on 23 January 1979.

This Chippie is ex RAF Rhodesian Air Training Group which means that it did not serve in the UK but was supplied new to Rhodesia with 69 others. However it appears never to have been assembled in Rhodesia as it was sold with nil hours flown via DH South Africa to Australia. This is in fact a Fokker F.XI, but it was restored as a replica of the first aircraft flown by Ansett Airways (Fokker Universal VH-UTO, c/n 422). Its remains were acquired from a playground in Graz, Austria and it was shipped to Australia for restoration in 1974. Roll-out of the restored replica was on 28 Nov 1974, and it now resides in the Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum, Hamilton. This Fokker F.XI was built in 1929 and first registered in Switzerland as CH-188 on 8 Jun 1929, reregd. HB-ALO in 1934. To OE-DAA in 1954 and damaged in a ground collision in 1959 and wfu.
