This fishbed-F was TOC by the Polish AF in August 1966 and flew with the 41st and 2nd Fighter Aviation Regiments at Malbork and Goleniów Glewice respectively. In April 1992 it became an instructional airframe at the military technical academy at Warsaw Babice (Bernowo) before coming to this super museum in August 2007.

This CL.IV was acquired by the National Museum of the USAF in 1984, where it is now on display. It wears the squadron leader's markings of Schlachtstaffel 21, which is known to have engaged elements of the U.S. Army's 94th and 95th Aero Squadrons in mid-July 1918 during the Chateau Thierry battle.
