CP Air replaced an early order for five Boeing 767-200s with 737-300s. The aircraft were delivered in three different color schemes; one in CP Air orange, two in "Attache" colors for full business class service and two in the pictured new Canadian Pacific colors. The type was in service for a year, with C-FCPL sold to Guinness Peat Aviation and delivered to VASP on lease in December 1986 as PP-SNU. After later leases to Markair and Frontier Airlines, it ended up with KDAvia (EI-CHH) by 2005. The airliner was impounded in Paris September 4, 2009, stored at Lasham and broken up there in 2012

This former Eastern Airlines DC-8-63PF (this version has a strengthened floor of a freighter aircraft , but no cargo door) entered CP Air's fleet in September 1972. Sold to Handlingair in December 1981, it was converted by Cammacorp to a DC-8-73PF. Operated by Handlingair for Triad International / Adnan Khashoggi until sold in 1988. Next came freight companies Connie Kalitta Services , American International Airways (N809CK )and Emery Worldwide Airlines (N105WP). The aircraft was retired and stored at Goodyear, AZ in 2001.

Testimonial to the ruggedness of the Cessna structure, this model 180 took off from the Winnipeg River full of freight at max gross then stalled over land. The pilot suffered only minor injuries, protected by the two heavy spar frames and the float bows which look like they absorbed a lot of the impact.
