(In addition to being a base for float planes and land planes, the site was also home to a wild rice operation in the hangar behind. The duct leading away from it carried husks from the threshing machine and the Twin Bonanza beside the shack was apparently used to pick up rice from remote airstrips.)

Bought by Ookpik Aviation in 2012 and by 2013 had been given a major avionics upgrade and a Texas Turbine conversion.
