1930 racing special based on the metal fuselage variant of the Lockheed Vega, the DL-1. To Britain as G-ABGK. Flown to Cape Town in six days by Glen Kidston and Owen Cathcart Jones April 1931. Sold to Horrie Miller for participation in MacRobertson Melbourne race 1934. Overturned at Aleppo on the second day of the race, 21 October 1934, pilots Jimmy Woods and Don Bennett wounded. Shipped to Australia and restored. To VH-UVK. To RAAF as A42-1 in 1941. Scrapped 1945.
