The final arrival at Sola for the Musum. 01-06-2020 N151 took off from Faribanks, and after ca 30 minutes had to return and go back due to a problem with engine no 3. After approx two hours it took off again and flew to Yellowknife in Canada, which was the final stop before an alomst 15 hours flight across the Atlantic and after a lowpass at Bergen, it came for a lowpass along rwy 18 at Sola, before tunring and arriving rwy 36, shown by these photos. The "QRILL PET ARCTIC WORLD SERIES" is an important sign of how this ferry flight was made possible.

To me personally, it was a tremendous joy to be there and watch it come and arrive after its final flight, led by Robert Everts, the chief of Everts Air Cargo who said "I could gladly have flown this aircaft to Las Palmas" after he had arrived with this beautufil DC-6B repanited as it was when it left BU in 1971 as LN-SUB. Now it has been beautiful restored even inside and will soon be under roof at Sola Air Museum, led by real Aviation enthusiasts. In the pandemic: "The Old one flies, while new ones are grounded

Delivered to Cathay Pacific as VR-HFK in 1958. To Braathens SAFE as LN-SUB in 1962 then to SAGA/Norsk as LN-MTV in 1971. Renamed to Troll Air then to Delta Air Transport as OO-LVG in 1972. Reregistered as OO-VGL in 1973. To Conair as C-GICD in 1976 then to Everts as N151 in 1996. Last flight to Stavanger-Sola in 2020 for preservation. Repainted as LN-SUB.

In the Everts main hangar undergoing a routine inspection. After expending its Part 121 airframe hours, this airplane was painted in Braathens-SAFE colors and flown to Norway on June 1/2, 2020. It was operated by Braathens in the 1960s and will go on display at the Flyhistorisk Museum Sola in Stavanger, Norway.

Taken at about 10 PM or even later! Among others, previous identities included Conair (C-GICD), Delta Air Transport (OO-VGL / OO-LVG) and Braathens SAFE (LN-SUB). This is the aircraft which in 2020 was repainted in Braathens livery as LN-SUB and flown across the Atlantic (it's last flight), to arrive at Sola Airport, Stavanger (Norway) June 2nd, 2020. It has taken up permanent residence at the Museum of Aviation History. Sadly, it was deemed too expensive to keep it as a flying exhibit.

The best part for me was the sound of the Douglas as it departed.

This airplane is Everts/A.C.E.'s second N151. The first one, a DC-6BF (cn 45174/800), overran the iced runway at Selawik on 3 March 1992.
