Qantas used the Super Constellation to Port Moresby between January 1959 and July 1960 as part of its Sydney-Hong Kong service. VH-EAG operated the final service and the photo may record that event. EAG remained in service with Qantas until 1963 when it was traded to Boeing. It scrapped in 1965. This is not same aircraft as the current L-1049 VH-EAG - this is the original one!
