This was at the height of the miners strike and there were a number of charters into EMA bringing police officers from various parts of the UK to police the picket lines of the coal mines in the Midlands. Venture Airways provided an all First Class service linking Coventry with Paris CDG. The aircraft had F class seats in a 1-2 configuration. Small world that it was, one of the Venture Airways company executives lived next door to my parents. Shortly after they commenced operations he invited me to sample their service. This photo was taken early morning prior to my departure to Paris CDG. It was a wonderful experience, but sadly Venture Airways' existence was short-lived as they could not compete with the multi-frequency options offered by established airlines from nearby Birmingham Airport.
