This was at the height of the miners strike and there were a number of charters into EMA bringing police officers from various parts of the UK to police the picket lines of the coal mines in the Midlands. To Aerolineas Argentinas as LV-PXH 30Sep1963. To LV-IEE in Oct1963. To Dan Air as G-BEKG 12Jul1977. To Cayman Airways as VR-CBH Feb1982. To G-VAJK in Feb1984 with Venture Airways named Lady Godiver. From 24Aug1985 with Euroair. To G-BEKG on 03Jul1986. To G-DAAL 11Aug1992 with Alexandra Aviation. To Emerald Airways on 04Oct1993. WFU at Blackpool Dec1996. Registration cancelled on 18Mar1997.

This is an early Avro built 748. Delivered to BKS Air Transport as G-ARRW on 23 April 1963. Later to Skyways Coach-Air who were merged into Dan-Air on 12 April 1972. To EI-BSE with Ryanair. Back to G-ARRW with London European Airways and British Independent Airways. To G-MRRV then to Nepal as 9N-ACM on 10 November 1992 with Necon Air. DBR on 06 November 1997.

Emerald Airways

Heavily cropped from the original, as my lens at that time did not have the "reach" of today's equipment. This aircraft finished its flying career with Ryanair as EI-BSF.
