This registration was cancelled on 24th June 1977 when the aircraft was sold to New Zealand where it was registered ZK-EKO. Sadly it was destroyed by fire in arson attack at Rotorua Airport on 17th October 1981, it had however been been parked there out of service since 1979.

Registered as PK-GHG in 1953, JA6161 in 1960 then G-AXFH in 1969. Scrapped at Southend in 1991.

Ex J6-LBD, G-AXFH, JA6161, PK-GHG. Registration cancelled by the CAA on 19 December 1990 following a long period of storage at Southend. It was broken up there in 1991.

In 1955, to replace Dragon Rapides, British European Airways bought two fixed undercarriage Heron 1Bs, G-ANXA and G-ANXB (now in Newark Air Museum), for its Scottish Highlands and Islands network. Serving until 1973, at any time one aircraft would be on scheduled services such as Glasgow to Tiree and to Barra with its unique and demanding tidal beach runway, while the other was on standby as the contracted aircraft for the government-funded Scottish Air Ambulance Service.

Channel Airways adopted what was basically Continental's black and gold colour scheme, seen here on a fixed gear Heron I. Unfortunately they went bust the following year.

The prototype Heron. First flew 10 May 1950. After service with Braathens and Jersey Airlines it flew for Emerald from September 1965 until November 1966. Later OY-DGS with Dan-Fly and Cimber and VH-CJS with various owners.
