March 1988 it was painted black for the "Air de Cologne" project by SAS Cargo.. FOF colours 1990, flew with TNT stickers in 1990 and 91, FOF cs until wfu 01-1997. OE-ILA 03-1998, C-GLBA 07-2007.

Delivered to Western Air Lines as N9746C in 1961. Converted to a freighter in 1969. Sold as CF-IJJ then N5767 and back to Western Air Lines as N9746C in 1971. To Nordic Air as LN-MOI in 1972 then to Fred Olsen as LN-FOH on 1973, Amerer Air as OE-ILA in 1998 and Buffalo Airways as C-GLBA in 2007. Withdrawn from use at Red Deer, AB by 2014. Still there in 2024.

One of the delicious ideas of SAS Cargo, to paint one of FOFs Electars in black and call it "Air de Cologne" just to mark Cologne as a new hub for Cargo operaions.

A bank holiday daystop was the one and only occasion the Electra would be seen during daylight, night shots being impossible for obvious reasons. Note the "Chartered from A/S Fred. Olsens Flyselskap" titles on the nose. The flight engineer had turned propellers straight for the daystop which was standard procedure with some carriers.

Ex Nordic-Air (and still in their colours) it was by this time operating with Fred Olsen who had acquired it in Nov 1973.

This aircraft was mainly used for cargo services at night, the colourscheme representing a sky at night with moon.
