slide scan from the NK collection. - Good news from Alberta, this Fokker escaped the scrapper! It is displayed as C-GYCR on a private property at Okotoks, ALB, preserved in Canadian Regional colours. Last reported in October 2022.

Owned by a private individual in Alberta lies a relic from the early 2000s. This Fokker F28 saw service up until it was unceremoniously retired on October 25, 2002 to Saskatoon. Saskatoon is still home to about a dozen ex. Canadian F28s which sit outside rotting in the prairie sun. Besides this one (YCR) which was purchased and moved to Alberta, two more are slated to be saved from the chopper block. Those being C-GTIZ and C-FTAV. TIZ will be going to another individual and TAZ will be returning home to Lethbridge, Alberta under the care of the Time Air Historical Society.

This F.28 was originally delivered to Germanair in April 1972 as D-AGAC, although leased to Itavia from April 1976 until November 1977. In December 1977 the plane joined TAT and was then operated on behalf of Air France and later, as pictured here, joined DAT/Sabena. In May 1998 the plane joined Canadian Regional as C-GYCR and in November 2001 it was transferred to Air Canada Regional. In April 2002 it was transferred again, this time to Jazz Air but this was short-lived and in October 2002 the plane was stored at Saskatoon (YXE).

slide taken by the late Norbert Kröpfl. - F-GBBS was leased from TAT for half a year and kept their basic yellow colour scheme. The aircraft started its life with Germanair as D-AGAC in April 1972, and the last services were flown for Canadian Regional as C-GYCR; wfu at Saskatoon in 2002.

Retired at Saskatoon. It was purchased and then taken apart and moved from Saskatoon to Okotoks Alberta.

With inscription 'operated by DAT'. The aircraft was leased by DAT from TAT European Airlines from Aug 94 to Oct 96.
