First flight December 9th 1970, delivered new to Branifff as N601BN known as "The Big Orange". June 1982 N601BN Polar Aircraf Leasing. March 31st 1983 N601BN Metro Airways. December 1983 N601BN Tower Air. 1992 wfu and stored at JFK airport after 21 years in airlines service. May 1994 broken up there. Tower Air came twice averey sunday in May 1989, one from JFK and one from Miami. This photo is my first photo of a 747 at Fornebu, seen before the returnflight via Arlanda back to JFK. (Part ot the "Charter 89") when GEN was closed uintil September 15th 1989.

Noted engineless at JFK 27 Mar 1992. Noted Dec 1993 at JFK being reduced to spares. By 21 May 1994 the tail has gone and its in 2 pieces.
