Built 1979, reg G-BHLN for McAlpine Aviation based at Luton. In seeptember 1983 rr G-MOXY opf Brown Air Services who started flying from Leeds to Fornebu in 1986. At the time of this photograph fixed wing aircraft were allowed to land inside the Silverstone race circuit on what was one of the old WWII runways, and the Conquest had brought in passengers to attend the 1985 British F1 Grand Prix which was held there on the day. Tragically this aircraft was destroyed, and the pilot killed, on 26 April 1987 when it crashed at Blackbushe during a go-around initiated after an unsafe gear warning that was later found to be erroneous.

Brown Air were based at Leeds Bradford and later re branded as Capital Airlines operating BAe 146's and Short 360's. Delivered new to Ford Motor Co in the US as N307K on 16 Feb 1967. To N4PC in 1978. To OY-BEG on 10 Nov 1980. To N12GP on 20 Jan 1983. To Brown Air in the UK as G-BRWN in Nov 1985 later flying as Capital Airlines in Jul 1987. WFU at EMA Oct 1987. To Peregrine AS on 20 Sep 1988 later as Aberdeen Aw. To Transindo as PK-CTE on 24 Sep 1991. To Citra Avn as PK-CDM in Jan 2002. Currently stored.

Brown Air was, if I recall correctly, a small Leeds-based company which survived for only a few years.
