Built at Woodford in 12.27 as an Avian II G-AUFZ and supplied to Wings Ltd at Broken Hill NSW. Converted to Avian IV standard as VH-UFZ. Retired 12.47 and stored. Overhauled at Woodford in 1998 for Greg Herrick's collection, becoming the second NC7083 and displayed at the Golden Wings Flying Museum in Blaine, Minnesota as 'G-EBUG'.

Circa 70 examples of the Buhl CA-3 Airsedan 3/5-seat biplane series were built in 1928/29. Two are known to survive. This CA-3E of 1929 was bought by Packard Motors and fitted with their DR-980 diesel as a demonstrator. After many years disuse it was fitted with a Wright 975 engine and reflown in 1996 by Greg Herrick's private collection.

Designed in 1929. It has an all-metal structure, the cabin was covered with corrugated aluminum and the rest of the airframe was fabric covered. It could carry six persons, Two were built. This example was converted to freight role in 1937. Restored and maintained airworthy by Greg Herrick's excellent private collection at Anoka-Blaine.
