On outside display and the superb Finnish Air Force Museum. A total of 37 Drakens were obtained from Swedish stocks by Finland, including five of the J35CS variant for use as unarmed trainers. A further 12 Drakens were assembled under licence by Valmet in Finland.

Finland was the first country to place an export order for the Blenheim light bomber and around 20 Mk Is were delivered in 1937 and 1938. Additionally, a licence to locally produce the aircraft was granted to Finland's State Aircraft Factory in 1938 with an order placed for upwards of 40 Mk II and Mk IVs, completed in time for service in the 1940 Winter War against Russia. Twelve new Mk IVs were later diverted from RAF production, followed by 12 former RAF Mk Is. BL-200 was part of the final batch of Blenheims constructed in Finland and after service as target tugs, the last flew in 1958.

Originally delivered as a VIP aircraft in 1970, and transferred to the Hungarian national airline in 1974. It flew for Malev until 1988 when it was retired here in the Museum in Sinsheim. These are the Malev colours I remember from when I started this hobby.

Painted in a classic Lufthansa c/s with fake registration D-CADE, ex N8041A. Lufthansa's original D-CADE was c/n 27108/15663 and operated between 1955 and 1960.

I really like the civil exhibits in their correct historical looks. D-ANAF was delivered to Lufthansa in 1961 looking like this, the titles were updated around 1967. By january 1969 just 7 years after delivery it was taken out of service. It then became an instructional airframe for Lufthansa Technicians. First in Nora c/s then in several different Lufthansa c/s. I remember just being able to see it from the viewing area at Frankfurt in the early 90s. In 2012 it moved to the Museum at Speyer. Now it flies in close formation with the Lufthansa B747-200. They are the outdoor center piece here.

This Junkers 52 was one of many that sank in the first summer of WWII in a lake near Hartvikvatnet in Norway. This one is one of several that were salvaged in 1980s. Now preserved in Speyer. This side carries code VB-JA the other side has code CA-JY. This RH side is more difficult to photograph, as it is close to the wall of this hangar and looking up you are blinded by the light coming though the glass roof.

Ex East German Air Force An26 #375 operated from 1980 until 1988. In the Museum since 1993. You can enter the airplane which is representing a government plane with a car loaded on the main deck and a small seating lounge.

Right above the entrance to the Technik Museum in Speyer. This sure gets you excited to go in and admire more classic planes !

Happy to have a photo of the VFW614 without a slide sticking out the side. Crews are working on the airplane to keep it in good condition for the museum. For this the airplane has been taken down and is placed in the main carpark in front of the museum. One last request for the painter who will repaint the Cimber Air colours, please put a registration on it, just for the avgeeks!
