Seen departing MIA off runway 9R. Delivered to Eastern as N8136N and later leased to ACES Columbia as HK-2604. Retired to Eastern after lease as N4753B and then changed to N8136N again, later became N154FE with FedEx.

Started life with Braniff in 1965. Retaining her Florida Express colors before being returned to Braniff a month after this shot, retired Hondo, South Texas Regional, 1992 - photographer unknown

K25 slide scan. Built 1953 as C-119F 22131 for RCAF, later converted to C-119G, struck of charge 1967. Aircraft International Associates N5216R 1971, Hawkins and Powers 1972, converted to Tanker 136, withdrawn 1987. Flown to Battle Mountain Aircraft Museum, NV around 1992, displayed there with a jet pod numbered "137". Registration cancelled 2012. Museum became defunct later, aircraft remained in store. Acquired 2019 by Rolling Boxcar Alaska, the Cockpit and fuselage will be mounted onto a bus chassis and used as a mobile museum, coffee bar and classroom. Dismantled for that purpose in 2020.

Formerly RCAF 22131. Tanked by Hawkins and Powers Aviation at Greybull and certificated as N5216R with roof mounted jet pack in 1975. Following the structural failure and mid-air breakup of one of their C-119Gs during a fire attack in California in 1987, H&P grounded their entire fleet of this type. Traded to USAF Museum in 1998, then delivered to Battle Mountain Air Museum, NV.

Ex USAir, transferred 28th Feb 1985 and merged into Braniff 1st March 1988, then ceased operations 6th Nov 1989 and the aircraft was returned to lessor. Retired at KHDO (Hondo,TX) and scrapped

WFU and stored at MZJ 31 Jul 2010

Delivered new 15th June 1991 and ferried KSAN-KMZJ 31st Oct 2016 for storage

Built in 1974 and delivered to Garuda Indonesia. Later transferred to Air Canada Regional and Jazz. Withdrawn from use at Saskatoon (CYXE) in 2002 and cancelled in 2003. (I flew on one from Winnipeg to Calgary, a distance of 1200 Km, at an altitude of only 24000 feet, which was really strange. Possible reason is the Pax O2 was inoperative or deleted to save weight. The max. allowable in Canada with no Pax O2 is 25000 feet.)

Second use of this regitration on a H&P C-119. This is former N3935, which was painted as N5216R circa 1992 (but never officially registered as such). The first N5216R (cn 10956) had been placed on display in a museum at Battle Mountain, NV by this time.

Second use of registration N5216R on a C-119. Note that this aircraft carries a data plate close to the aft door which claims that it is a C-119C with serial no. 11071, acceptance date in 1953 but exact date unreadable. However, this Tanker 136 is aprobably the former N3935 c/n 10824, which was painted as N5216R in the early 1990s. At the same time the first N5216R (ex RCAF 22131, c/n 10956) was donated to the Battle Mountain Air Museum at Battle Mountain, NV for display as Tanker 137.
