The first two-seat Starfighter model, the F-104B was ahead of its time in not receiving a TF designation, suggesting it was fully combat-capable. However, the F-104A's 20-mm cannon was omitted and internal fuel reduced. There were also quite a few other changes, and the definitive, FY 1957 machines had a 25 percent larger tailfin and rudder than the F-104A.

This F-16 is interesting for at least two reasons. Firstly, it is the Viper that famously crashed at Oshkosh in 2011 after running off the runway. Also, one can see parts reclamation (the 'R' in AMARG) actually taking place as the radome and antennae have been removed and boxed up ready to be reused if/when required. This F-16 was retired to AMARG during July 2012.

The CG-4A was the most widely used US troop/cargo glider of WWII. Constructed of fabric-covered wood and metal, the CG-4A was crewed by a pilot and co-pilot. It could carry 13 troops and their equipment or a jeep, a quarter-ton truck or a 75mm howitzer loaded through the upward-hinged nose section. Fifteen companies manufactured over 12,000 CG-4As and this survivor is on display at the National Museum of the USAF.
