Making an evening arrival at Nanaimo and just about to negotiate the harbour entrance to reach the sheltered seaplane docks. Delivered new to the US Army in 1956 as 55-3261. Its military service, until 1976, included duty as a test support aircraft at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. After years of bush operations in Quebec, moved to the Pacific coast in 2001 to join Harbour Air where it received a Vazar conversion to PT6 turbine power.

Delivered to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on February 25, 1959, CF-MPX was sold in 1979 as the RCMP looked to modernize it's fleet. Pictured with Harbour Air (June 1985 - June 1986), one of the ten operators that flew it 1979 - 2010. Sold in the USA as N93PC, it was converted to a Texas Turbine Otter and flew for Rediske Air, in Alaska. On July 7, 2013, the aircraft tragically stalled on take-off at Soldotna Airport, AK and burned. The aircraft was later determined to be outside of the weight and center of gravity limits.

The aircraft was operating trans-border flight #1612 from Lake Union (W55) is Seattle, Washington. This 55 minute downtown-to-downtown service was suspended for about two years as a result of Covid-19 flight but resumed in the summer. Many of the passengers work in the tech sector in Seattle or Vancouver. Harbour Air imported the aircraft to Canada in late March 2022.
