First registered to Peter Clifford Aviation on 10th June 1964. To new owner two months later. DBR at Sherburn on 16.8.71. Scrapped at Yeadon. The Aero 145 behind is almost certain to be G-ASWK a Super Aero srs 20(c/n 172003) which I noted in my "log book" as being there on the same day. It also suffered an early fate being DBR at Thruxton on 24th April 1968.

Eagerly awaited by the population local to the Salisbury Plain Training Area was the annual firepower demonstration at Larkhill which is situated on the eastern edge of the SPTA. Just about every type of weapon was unleashed on the range targets. Even an "Honest John" missile was fired off on at least one occasion(1962) XV219 is demonstrating an Ultra Low Level Airdrop(ULLA) on an unusually damp day. The extraction chutes are out of the picture. View looking north with a couple of 'Tank' targets visible in the background. It was delivered to Lockheed in December 2000 and scrapped.

One of the rarest aircraft to pass through Sharjah as there were only 7 built. I saw 5 but was only able to photograph 2 as they mostly tended to land after dark and leave at daybreak. Build date:- 5th June 1964. On delivery to India, became VT-DVD with the "Aviation Research Centre" which was created by the Indian Intelligence Bureau in cooperation with the CIA. The H500's were used to infiltrate agents into Tibet(amongst other duties!) According to the pilot this was the last one for delivery.
