Stripped of many parts, and its serial incorrectly written as 55-1773 with a thick marker on the tail, the F-100F is awaiting maintenance for departure to Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA). The Super Sabre arrived at AMARC on 3 May 1979 and departed on 12 February 1990. It returned to service as a QF-100F with the 475th Weapons Evaluation Group with 63773/409 at Tyndall AFB (FL). It's fate is unclear, but it was most probably written off in 1991 as a target drone.

This former 184th TFS Super Sabre is technically still a F-100F although it is already painted in the QF-100 colors. The aircraft arrived at AMARC on 25 September 1979, received inventory code FE603, and is seen here when it was about to leave for Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA). With Tracor it was modified to QF-100F. It was later assigned to the 475th WEG at Tyndall AFB (FL). It's fate is unknown to me, but most probably the aircraft was shot down over the Gulf of Mexico

Two parts, one Super Sabre. This jet was controlled cut in half awaiting an engine. The "Hun" arrived at AMARC on 13 October 1977 and was moved to Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave, (CA) on an unknwon date to me. Databases report a departure date on 3 June 1986. But this picture was made some three years later. The F-100F was converted to QF-100F with Tracor and received 82nd ATS code 410. It was shot down over the Gulf of Mexico as an aerial target by an AIM-7M missile on 20 September 1991.

This F-100F arrived from the 131st Tactical Fighter Squadron/104th Tactical Fighter Group, Barnes ANGB (MA) at AMARC on 23 Sep'79. It received initially inventory code FE593 but was later recoded to FE633. The Super Sabre - its full serial is written in black on the tail too, remained stored at AMARC until 1989, it was first seen with Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA) in late 1990, was assigned as a QF-100F with the 47th WEG with AD-xxx code. The aircraft was then donated on 31 Mar'94 to Independence (KS) where it is preserved since 24 Mar'94. It is parked in the local Zoo.

Arrived at AMARC, after its last assignment with the 182nd Tactical Fighter Squadron/149th Tactical Fighter Group at Kelly AFB (TX), on 1 May 1979. It received inventory code FE517. After a long storage period at AMARC, the Super Sabre was selected for the QF-100F drone program. It left AMARC on 12 September 1989, a month after this picture was made. It was then flown to Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA) and converted to QF-100F (396). So basicly, at AMARC is was not yet a QF-100F. It was later assigned to 475th WEG. It was written off on 23 October 1990.
