Painted to represent B-25H 43-4381 "Dog Daize" of the 82nd BS, 12th BG operating in Indochina in 1943/44, this is really 43-4999. After storage and post-war disposal, it was sold on to the Dominican Air Force with s/n 2502, returning to the US as N3970C in 1952. It became derelict at West Trenton-Mercer County Airport, NJ after another Latin American sale fell through and was eventually seized by the airport authorities for non-payment of fees. In 1970 it was donated to the Bradly Air Museum and survived damage in the 1979 tornado, undergoing restoration from 1986 to 1993

This B-25 was delivered to the USAAF in June 1944 but immediately placed into storage in Texas and then Missouri. The plane was acquired by the Dominican Air Force as FAD 2502 in 1948 but little is known of its service there. It returned to the United States through a disposal sale with the Dominican government and assigned the registration N3970C. Nothing went through and the plane fell into disrepair until it was donated to NEAM in 1960. It was severely damaged when a tornado struck the museum in October 1979 but has since been beautifully restored.

Miss Temperance set a new trans-Tasman Sea record flying from Sydney airport to Whenuapai airport, Auckland, in four hours 33 minutes aided by a 60kt tailwind. To put it in perspective the scheduled flight time in 2022 is three hours. The Joint Airways Communication System Pacific (JACSPAC) was a US Army-Navy unit set up during World War II to provide flight services to both.
