Norway Airlines operated revenue flights from February 1988 until it declared bankruptcy and ceased all operations on 14 October 1992. This MD-83 was sub-leased from Transwede Airways. Following Norway Airline's termination in October, the aircraft was returned to Transwede and it is quite likely that they continued operating the London Gatwick route (with the aircraft not yet painted back into Transwede colours).
