Sitting abandoned on the North side of YXE is this former Norcanair (North Canada Air) Fairchild F-27J. Records show it crashed at Wollaston Lake Airport in 1982 and was "written off" although the reg was never officially canceled until 1990, long after the Time Air takeover which occurred in 1987. The aircraft somehow made its way back to Saskatoon and is now here in this state.

The Canadian Air Force acquired six Bristol Freighters during 1951 - 57. Based in Europe, the aircraft provided heavy transport among Canada's four NATO bases in France and Germany. The type was retired in 1967 and Wardair bought the four remaining aircraft including spares. CF-WAE (former RCAF 9699) was sold in 1975 and leased to Norcanair. It was donated to the Western Canada Aviation Museum in 1983 and is pictured outside the renamed Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.

Here just starting up after being repainted, it has yet to acquire the characteristic soot and oil streaks. Imported into Canada in 1971 and exported as TG-AMA in November 1979.

Ex RCAF 9699. The museum was renamed the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada 19 December 2014 and closed its doors 22 October 2018. The historic TCA hangar and original terminal building were sadly demolished to make way for a new maintenance facility. The construction of a new museum building commenced 1 May 2020 at 2088 Wellington Avenue, which is near the main terminal building.

In the process of moving the rather large aircraft to a temporary storage location in order to make floor space needed to accommodate the up and coming annual "Out-of the -Blue" fundraising event that was held the following weekend.

High-Line Airways was based at Saskatoon and they had a quite large fleet including two Convair 640s. When Norcanair took them over, there was a transitional period when both names were displayed.

Imported in 1965 ex N55297 of Standard Air Lines and operated by Norcanair until 1976 when it went to Bearskin Air Cargo (Photo ID: 289128). It was exported as N9002Y in January 1987 and cancelled as expired in 2014.

Made 1969 and cancelled after a crash on 7 September 1985 while based at Prince Edward Island.

Beaver number 1 first flew on August 16, 1947. Flying in Canada it's entire career, the historic aircraft was sold by Norcanair to the National Museum of Science and Technology in July 1980 and placed in the National Aviation Collection (now the Canada Aviation and Space Museum).

Originally I-TIDI with Aerolinee Itavia and Unifly Express from 1970 to 1985,this F-28 was the first (and only) jet aircraft bought by Norcanair. The airline was purchased by Time Air on March 16, 1987 and fully merged by 1988. Name changes through other mergers saw Canadian Regional, Air Canada/Canadian Regional and Jazz colors applied until the aircraft was retired in 2006 and stored.

A leased 580 in basic Frontier Commuter livery. Delivered as CV440-12 OO-SCS to Sabena and sold to Frontier in '67, then converted to CV580 in '68.
