So as I understand it from the SoCal CAF, this is N40FS, an original Fi-156D and not a French MS version as is often stated, although unfortunately the complete history of the plane is unknown. The Commemorative Air Force added B-25 44-29869 to their collection back in 1978 when the museum was known as the Confederate Air Force. Restored in 1991, it flew again registered N27493 on April 18, 1992 (the 50th anniversary of the World War II Doolittle Raid on Tokyo). P-39 42-19597 was converted to a TP-39Q two-seat trainer during World War II. The aircraft was abandoned after emergency landing July 20, 1945 at Hobbs, New Mexico . Eventually used by Capitan High School, Lincoln, New Mexico, it was acquired by Joe Brown of Hobbs, New Mexico and donated to Confederate Air Force in the 60s. Registered N6968, it was restored to airworthy in single-seat configuration 1968-1974. Flown regularly in USSR markings at airshows, the fighter is still with the renamed Commemorative Air Force at the time of uploading.

An early Kingcobra, 42-68941 was kept by Bell aircraft for test and development work. Transferred to the NACA (predecessor of NASA) in 1945, it did some flying out of Moffat Field, CA until sold as surplus circa July 1946. Becoming NX75488, the aircraft did little flying over the years in private hands. Acquired by the Confederate Air Force in late 1975, the fighter was displayed in French Air Force colors. A restoration was begun in 1999 with the aircraft flying again in 2017 as N919H with period NACA markings.

In service with the Royal Canadian Air Force 1952 - 68, this Harvard was bought by 20th Century Fox Film Corp. It was converted to a replica Mitsubishi Zero in 1968 for the film Tora, Tora, Tora. Sold at auction after the movie was released, the aircraft was acquired by the Commemorative Air Force (formerly the Confederate Air Force) and registered to them in January 1972. Carries the Commemorative Air Force logo on the fuselage.

In service with the Royal Canadian Air Force 1952 - 68, this Harvard was bought by 20th Century Fox Film Corp. It was converted to a replica Mitsubishi Zero in 1968 for the film Tora, Tora, Tora. Sold at auction after the movie was released, the aircraft was acquired by the Commemorative Air Force (formerly the Confederate Air Force) and registered to them in January 1972. Carries the Commemorative Air Force logo on the fuselage.

On display within the CAF hangar at Midland. This Swordfish was one of the aircraft rescued from the Ernie Simmons farm collection and was previously a RCN machine. Although her exact service identity is unknown she is displayed as HS164 with the Royal Navy. Note, often the cn for this aircraft is given as 'A14250B15564' but this is purely fictional.
