One of the 13 aircraft assembled on the eastern boundary at Southend for the nascent British Historic Aircraft Museum. Arrived from Biggin Hill in 1966. By April 1970 it had acquired a top turret and been painted in RAF colours as "HD368". Sadly, this museum came to nought but was resurrected as the Historic Aircraft Museum (Southend) in 1972 with N9089Z passing into its care.

Acquired by Tippers Air Transport at Halfpenny Green from the RAF in October 1967 along with several others of the type. To the nascent British Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend in September 1968. The museum did not proceed and the aircraft languished at Southend, here seen without engines of outer wings. When the BHAM was resurrected as the Historic Aircraft Museum (Southend) G-AVVO was surplus to requirements and the fuselage was obtained by the Newark Air Museum as a replacement for that of G-ALIH which had been destroyed by fire in May 1971. On display at Newark as VL348 in 2021.

Sadly, this museum came to nought but was resurrected as the Historic Aircraft Museum (Southend) in 1972. By that time TX211/G-AVHU had been vandalised. It donated its outer wings, rudder, tailplane & port engine to VL348/G-AVVO in the summer of 1971 and was scrapped circa September 1972.

Formerly a research testbed with Cranfield University and Napier as G-36-3, G-29-1 and G-APRJ. Arrived from Cranfield on 9th May 1967. Of note is the Lancaster nose (from the pilot's windscreen forward) ex-TW911, fitted in the late 40s/early 50s and the graphics representing the different wing/tail sections that had been mounted on the upper fuselage: Buccaneer, Caravelle (tail & wing), Comet wing, Beverley wing, Britannia wing, Avro 748 wing and Argosy tail.

One of the 13 aircraft assembled on the eastern boundary at Southend for the nascent British Historic Aircraft Museum. Arrived by air from Shawbury on 14 March 1967.
