In transit westbound through Prestwick after being impounded at the now closed Munich-Riem Airport from November 1971. Delivered new to American Airlines in 1959 as 707-123 N7511A. Re-engined as a 707-123B in 1961. Joined the short-lived Paninternational Airlines in 1970 as D-ALAL . Repossessed by American Airlines in 1971 as N8420, then reregistered N7511A in August 1972. Became HK-1802 with Aerocondor de Colombia in 1975. Withdrawn from use in 1979. Broken up at Bogotá, Colombia around 1989/90.

German-built in 1957, formerly KA+148, AS+577 then 53+18 of the Luftwaffe. Sold to Aero Taxis Ecuatorianos SA (ATESA). Seen here on delivery to Ecuador, refuelling at Prestwick's Main Terminal before heading transatlantic. Written off in July 1980 in a sadly fatal accident when it crashed while attempting to land at Shell Mera-Río Amazonas, Pastazo, Ecuador, with both crew being killed.

Owned at the time by entrepreneur Peter Cadbury. Registration cancelled on 20 May 1975 on sale to Indonesia as PK-OAB, and damaged beyond repair on 13 May 1980.

Delivered in January 1972 ex-ZS-CDT. Operating the ex-Channel Airways routes to the Channel Islands from Southend. Withdrawn from use at Teesside in 1986 and fuselage used as a ground trainer. To North East Aircraft Museum in 2008. Scrapped in 2013, nose preserved at Brooklands Museum.

On overhaul with Aviation Traders Engineering. Delivered to TMAC November 1971, ex-N1001T with Flying Tiger. To G-BRED August 1980.

In the early iteration of the CL-44D TMAC colours. Transferred to subsidiary Transmeridian (Hong Kong) Ltd as VR-HHC in November 1975. Reverted to G-AWWB in November 1979 and to the USA as N908L in April 1980.

Had been returned to ATEL for maintenance in November 1971 and seen here minus engines, outer wings & tail surfaces. It was removed from storage on 18th December 1972 and brought back into service at considerable expense to re-enter service with BAF on 27th May 1973, named "Big Bill". Sold in June 1976 to SOACO as TR-LWP. Broken up at Brazzaville in 1986.

Awaiting delivery to Invicta on 2nd May 1972. Note the tail titling "Rolls Royce VC9". This had read "Roll Royce V952 Prop Jet" while with its previous operator, Thor Cargo, and is one of the few references to the post-war civil design designations used by Vickers with the Vanguard being the "Vickers Commercial 9". The Viking having been the VC1 and the system more commonly known for the VC10. To EAS as F-BXOH in November 1975 and used for spares at Perpignan.

Assigned to Headquarters Squadron, Fleet Marine Force Atlantic.

Outside the Aviation Traders hangar minus engine and looking rather tired. Subsequently repainted into its former RAF markings as VS610. Note the unused Carvair nose on the dump in the background.

Stored. Later robbed of parts and scrapped.

Originally built for the Royal Canadian Navy as 1558. Registered October 1970 with Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for tanker conversion. Later to Conair for Firecat upgrade and sold to France. Converted to Turbo Firecat in 1995.
