Registered on 4th August 2023, this seems to be the third similar aircraft to carry this registration, the others being cns 3065 and 5141!

31 Jan 44: TOS USAAF. 10 Feb 44: TOS RAF as Dakota III KG395; to RAF No.45 Group, Dorval, Montreal. 19 Feb 44: Arrived UK; No.48 Squadron, Gloucestershire. September/45: RCAF No.437 Squadron, Wiltshire. 16 Jun 46: Presented to Canadian Government. 26 Aug 46: TOS RCAF as KG395. Remained with RCAF until 1977. 1980: N89BF. October/87: N99FS. October/90: Used in recovery of P-38s in Greenland. By August/95 Marked as RAF aircraft in WWII.

11 Feb 43: TOS USAAF. 5/43: 53rd Troop Carrier Squadron, 61st Troop Carrier Group, 8th Air Force, ferried to North African Theater of Operations. Flew two paratrooper drops during invasion of Sicily, sustaining damage. Flew paratroopers on D-Day and Operation Market Garden. For the latter operation it also flew gliders and dropped supplies. Also flew paratroops during operation Varsity. 1943-1945: Flew hundreds of supply and hospital missions in-between the eight combat missions. Returned to USA 16 Jul 1945, sold in 1947.

July/45: TOS USAAF as B-29A 44-62070. April/46: Converted to TB-29. October/51 to April/52: Restored back to B-29A. April/52: 310th Bomb Wing, Smoky Hill AFB, KS. August/53: 3510th Flying Training Wing, Randolph AFB, TX. November/53: Converted to TB-29A. October/56: TOS USN; to Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, CA; used as a range target. March/71: Confederate Air Force with c/n N4249. Restored to ferry. August/71: Ferried to Harlingen, TX. By 1978: Restored using parts from three other B-29s. August/81: Re-registered as N529B. 1983: Used in the movie, "The Right Stuff" as the mother ship. 2006-2010: Full overhaul and new engines.

July 1945: TOS USAAF as B-25J 44-8677. 1946: Redesignated as TB-25J. 1954: Converted to TB-25N. 12/58: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, for storage and disposal. 1/59: Registered N9167Z. 1970: Crosby Enterprises, Wauwatosa, WI, still carrying its basic USAF scheme, Crosby added the name, "The Devil Made Me Do It" to the nose. 1987: Tom Reilly Vintage Aircraft, Kissimmee, FL, where it was restored. 1993: Executive Aviation, Cincinnati, OH; registered N345BG. 28 Oct 2010: B25 Mitchell, Inc, Tulsa. 3/11: Liberty Aviation Museum, Port Clinton, OH. By 7/12: "Named Georgie's Gal."

This was the 2nd B-25H built and was the prototype cannon-nose version. 23 Aug '43: TOS USAAF as 43-4106. Assigned to various units for testing. 1/46: RFC, Walnut Ridge, AR. 4/71: Richard Lambert, Plainfield, IL; was ferried to his grass strip. 8/81: Weary Warriors Squadron, New Lenox, IL; spent two months preparing the plane for ferrying to Springfield for restoration. Both flight attempts had engine failures so they continued the flight to Springfield on one engine. A few years later it was trucked to Rockford, IL for continuing restoration, completed in 1992. 10/15: Cavanaugh Air.

12/43 TOS USAAF with s/n 43-3634. 19 Apr '44: Arrived Alesan Field, Corsica. Assigned to the 489th Bomb Squadron and flew its first combat mission the day it arrived! 23 Apr to 4 May '44: Flew 7 more bombing missions. 26 May '44: Arrived Homestead, FL. 3 Oct '44: TOS RAF as Mitchell II, KL148. 7/45: TOS RCAF as KL148. 6/62: Lawrence Hicks Ltd, Saint Thomas, ON, with c/r CF-NWV. 7/68: Glenn Lamond of Detroit with c/r NX3774. 1987: Yankee Air Force, Detroit, MI. 2000 to 2003: Restored with the greenhouse nose. One of only three surviving B-25s which flew combat during WWII.

7 Apr '1945: TOS USAAF with s/n 44-83563 at Hunter Army Air Field, GA, then delivered to Patterson Field, OH. 5/1945: Delivered to Philippines. Converted to CB-17G. Ca.6/1945: Converted to VB-17G. 7/1945: Used by Gen Jimmy Doolittle at Kadena, Okinawa. Also carried Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. 1952: Returned to the USA for overhaul and then to 6000th Base Service Group, Japan. 1955: Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. With civilian fire-bomber owners it flew in two movies: "The War Lover" and"Tora, Tora, Tora". 1985: National Warplane Museum.
