Last operational with 834TCW at Hurlburt Field, 43-49507 was the last C-47 in routine operation with the USAF, the aircraft was allocated to the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson at the end of June 1975 and is displayed there at time of upload as 315213 a C-47A of the 91st Troop Carrier Squadron, 439th Troop Carrier Group, which was used to recover gliders used in the invasion of France on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

UNK: Suffered combat damage during WWII. After 4/45: Assigned to the 61st, 12th, and 60th Troop Carrier Groups in Germany. By 1948: 7290th Air Base Group, Germany. Flew in Berlin Airlift. 1/49: Loaned to Turkish Air Force. By 11/54: Returned to USAF, 169th FBS/126th FBG (ANG), Greater Peoria Airport, IL. By 1971: Ohio ANG at Springfield, OH. 9 Jun 93: Air Commando Park, Hurlburt Field, FL.

16 Nov '44: TOS USAAF. 1949: Air Force Reserve; used for crew proficiency training. 1950: Sent to Japan, and throughout the Korean War it operated out of Japan and Korea. 1955: TOS Japanese Air Self Defense Force with s/n 51-1121. By February/69 to after November/77: JASDF Flight Check Squadron. 1980: Alaska Rental and Sales with c/r N5579Z. During the next few years Alaska Rental and Sales swapped this plane for a C-118 through the Air Force Museum Loan Program, and on 11 October 1986 a dedication ceremony was held for this plane at the Air Command Park, Hurlburt Field, FL, where it remains on display.

Delivered to USAF on 30 May 1966. Used for combat search and rescue in Thailand and Vietnam. Also saw service in Japan, Philippines, Suffolk ANG Base, NY, Homestead AFB, FL, and Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. Dedicated to the Hurlburt Field Memorial Air Park in May 1992.

To USAF on 2 January 1951. Assigned as a training aircraft at Williams AFB, Norton AFB, Lowry AFB, Sheppard AFB, and finally at Hurlburt Field. Dedicated to the Memorial Air Park on 9 June 1973. It is currently marked as a South Vietnamese T-28.

Delivered new to the 346th TCS at Pope AFB. In 1964 it deployed to Tan Son Nhut Air Base, Vietnam. Returned to U.S. in 1967 and upgraded to C-123K version. Back to Vietnam, based at Phan Rang Air Base until 1972. Back to the U.S. and assigned to the USAF Reserve at Lockbourne, Ohio. Retired from active service and dedicated in the Air Park on 11 October 1981.

During testing at Eglin AFB it was determined that this aircraft had been overstressed and it was retired from service in 1971. It was dedicated in the Air Park on 30 May 1972. Originally mounted on a pylon, as seen in the photo, it is now displayed on its landing gear.

This A-26 was the first aircraft to be dedicated in the Air Park, on 4 July 1970. It was originally mounted on a pylon, as seen in the photo. It was later repainted and repositioned onto its landing gear. It saw combat in Vietnam with the 56th Special Operations Wing, based at Nakon Phanom Royal Thai Air Base, flying its last combat mission on 9 November 1969.

Delivered to USAAF 23 October 1943. Participated in Operation Overlord (D-Day, 6 June 1944). After WWII it remained in Europe and was used in the Berlin Airlift. Transferred to Turkish Air Force in 1949, returned to U.S. in 1970, assigned to Ohio ANG. On 9 June 1973 it was dedicated in the Air Park, having been modified to represent an AC-47D.

Delivered to USAF on 31 August 1967. Deployed to Nakhom Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand, and later to Bien Hoa, Vietnam. In 1970 returned to the U.S. and transferred to the Air National Guard where it was assigned to various units. Retired in 1982 and put on display at the Air Park in October 1982.

Delivered new to USAF on 4 October 1957 and immediately transferred to the U.S. Army. This a/c was deployed to Vietnam from 1965 through 1972 where it was assigned to Army Reconnaissance Companies. Retired in 1973 and transferred to the Air Park where it was put on display 20 October 1973.

Ca.1953: Converted to a TB-25N crew trainer. 18 Nov '57: SOC. 1/58: Converted to air tanker with a 1,000 gallon tank; registered as N5256V. 2/62: Fitted it with agricultural spray bars. 1968: WFU and stripped of its engines and left derelict at Grass Valley. 1976-1980: restored to airworthy condition. 1980: Air Force Museum Loan Program. 8/80: Flew to Beale AFB, CA for display. 4/95: Trucked to Hurlburt Field, FL, where it was restored to B-25J configuration without a top turret.

10 May 1971: TOS USAF and assigned to the 172nd Tactical Air Support Squadron/110th Tactical Air Support Group (ANG), Battle Creek, MI. 1980: Redesignated OA-37B. 3/91: Withdrawn from use and put on display at the Battle Creek ANG Base. 1996: Air Commando park at Hurlburt and marked as an A-37B in the Vietnam War.
