Seen pakring at gate 29 after arriving as SN789, brand new aircraft.

slide from Pol van Damme. - Between 1979 and 1983, DAT operated several FH-227s on behalf of Sabena in their full colours. When this ended, OO-DTB was leased to Air Lesotho as 7P-LAH for one year, and in 1992, the aircraft was sold to Aerolineas Uruguayas as CX-BQT. It was noted at Montevideo in 1995, already in storage, and was later broken up.

In poor visibility, the pilot landed on the Varkenoord football pitches near the Feyenoord stadium. He continued to the Katshoek heliport without his passengers, so customs officers dutifully sped to this site. Built 1956 and delivered to Sabena June 1956. To Aviaco as EC-APT in 1959 and then to Transporte Aéreo Militar in Bolivia as TAM-44 in May 1972. On 27 October 1975, it departed Tomonoco en route to La Paz-El Alto Airport, carrying military officers and their families. Flights departing Tomonoco to La Paz must climb to FL100 to cross the peaks of the Andes Mountains. Because it was overloaded, it failed to attain that level and crashed in the Cerro Colorado Mountains NE of La Paz. The aircraft was destroyed and all 67 occupants killed. It was the worst Convair 440 accident.

It seems that the displayed aircraft livery was not officially agreed with the desired new customer. Sabena only asked for information about this aircraft but the contacts never proceeded further.

Delivered May 2001 to Sabena and sold as EI-CWV in November the same year, after the demise of Sabena.

June 9th 2010 5X-MTF Gainjet Aviation, converted to VIP. May 22nd 2013 5H-MTF Maleth-Aero. March 12th 2020 wfu and stored in Spain... Seen on departure from rwy 19L as SN788 to BRU.

Delivered in August 2000. Sabena ceased operations on 7th November 2001. This was the first A319 registered OO-SSJ, Brussels Airlines later re-used the registration for a different airframe.

WFU by Brussels Airlines in August 2011. Stored at Southend from January 2012 and scrapped there in 2016.
