42-92396 rolled out December 23, 1943 and was delivered to the RCAF as FZ635 on January 15, 1944. Quickly struck off strength post war on December 5, 1945, it was put into Trans Canada Airline service (CF-TDZ) that lasted from May 1946 to January 1961. Canada's Department of Transport then took it over (CF-DTV) and it remained with them until sold to Millardair (C-FDTV) in1975. After Millardair ceased flight operations in 1990, the registration was cancelled in September 1991. Later to California-Pacifico registered XA-RZF and XA-UDY.

Built in Jul-1949 as CF-DTI. By Mar-1975 the registration was changed to C-FDTI. On 23-Jun-1994 it departed from a fishing resort in Givenchy Bay but did not arrive at its destination Sandspit, BC. It was later found submerged in the water at Hunter Point, 7 nm from departure. The pilot and passenger did not survive and the aircraft was destroyed. The Investigation Board determined that it likely had stalled at an insufficient altitude for recovery. The reason for the stall could not be determined. The registration was cancelled in Dec-1994.

This beautiful old airliner is currently being stored in the Canada Aviation Museum Reserve Collection. The aircraft is facing the large windows that form the whole side of this building so the foil covering the tyres, de-icing boots and cockpit is to protect the rubber from perishing from exposure to sunlight.
